Tubus – Better damping than a rubber stop, simpler and more cost-effective than a shock absorber

TUBUS rubber dampers are a great choice when you need to absorb motion — such as in a hatch, crane bridge, or impact arm — and want an absorber easy to install, more durable, and more affordable than a shock absorber, while still offering excellent energy absorption.

Highly robust and durable rubber damper

Made from co-polyester elastomer, the material is resistant to saltwater and UV radiation, making it ideal for harsh environments and exposed applications. The TUBUS rubber damper is suitable for use in crane bridges, conveyors, hatches, end stops, marine environments, or for protecting machinery and products during transport and loading. It can also serve as an emergency or safety stop.

Energy absorption up to 70%

The damper can absorb up to 70% of the impact energy, and is available in sizes ranging from 1 Nm to 8000 Nm per impact. It’s easily mounted with a single screw (M3 to M16). Various designs are available for different applications, including options for radial impact absorption.
