When combining SUN’s priority valve and compensator LHDA-X*N with the Rexroth M4 mobile valve, it’s possible to replace orbit-type steering orbitrols with an electrically actuated directional valve.
Pressure compensator and priority valve ensure prioritized flow to steering
The LHDA-X*N is a pressure compensator and priority valve in one, ensuring prioritized flow to the steering system under all conditions. The valve also maintains a constant pressure drop across the spool, regardless of load. It is rated for 350 bar (5000 psi) and available in SUN series 1, 2, 3, and 4; covering flow rates from 60 to 480 lpm.
Integrate priority valve into custom section of mobile valve
The LHDA is integrated into a custom section together with the mobile valve. The Bosch Rexroth M4 mobile valve can be equipped with an electrohydraulic spool with on-board electronics (CPM-1x) CAN bus. The control command is sent via an electrical signal from the joystick to the directional valve — eliminating the need for any hydraulics in the operator cab.
Complies with Performance Level D
The M4 mobile valve features integrated monitoring. If the spool shows signs of sticking or jamming, the electronics detect increased resistance and divert the pump flow directly to the tank via a pressure relief valve, depressurizing the system — fulfilling the requirements for Performance Level D.
