Simple and Efficient Filtration with Filter Valve – Start-Up Filtration

Cleanliness is critical in any hydraulic system. Traditional filters are typically installed in-line or flange-mounted, which takes up space. More filters increase the pressure drop in the system, and once a filter is installed, it’s usually not easily removed.

Shares cavity system with valve functions

SUN Hydraulics’ filter cartridges offer several advantages. The filter valve is screwed into a cavity in the hydraulic manifold. These filter valves use the same cavity system as other SUN valves.

Place the filter close to sensitive valves or use for start-up filtration

This means, for example, that you can place the filter in a manifold directly before a sensitive function or valve. Another benefit is that during system start-up, you can use the cavity for a filter cartridge and later either plug the cavity or repurpose it for a valve function instead.

These filter valves can be placed on the pressure side and handle up to 320 l/min and 350 bar.
