When a hydraulic system is shut down and the flow of oil stops, contaminants and particles will be released from the filter.
At cold start, when the viscosity of the hydraulic oil is high, the high differential pressure will force the filter into bypass mode. Until the machine and hydraulic oil are properly heated and reduced in viscosity, the oil will pass through the bypass mode and go directly into the hydraulic system.
Other filters available on the market have a bypass located low down or inside the element. If the system starts in bypass mode, all dirt will enter the system without being filtered. The hydraulic system will be exposed to harmful contaminants and particles.
Unlike other types of filters, the GPT filter has its bypass located on top of the filter.
This contributes to the impurities remaining at the bottom of the filter and prevents these impurities from getting out into the hydraulic system. For a superb solution for cold start and bypass, the GPT filter is the obvious choice.
Please contact Hydnet if you want to know more about Schroeder’s GPT filter.
As part of Schroeder’s pursuit of environmentally friendly alternatives, it also covers how the products are designed. Typical filters on the market discard the diverter cap along with the filter element. But GPT reduces this waste by providing a reusable diverter cover.
The reusable diverter cover in the GPT filter is no obstacle to simple replacement of filter elements. Installation of filter elements requires only a few simple steps and the environmental benefits of diverter covers last over time.
The GPT filter is suitable for many different applications in various industries.
