2 ports, air bleed start-up valve
Air bleed valves are used to solve problems in hydraulic systems where air has entered the oil, causing symptoms such as “sponginess” in the controls and cavitation in pumps or valves. Air in the system reduces the hydraulic oil’s ability to transmit power and can lead to component damage as well as decreased performance.

2 ports, air bleed start-up valve
The air bleed valve operates by flushing trapped air out of the system, usually by directing the oil along with the air back to the tank. The valve opens when air or gas accumulation causes a pressure drop above a certain threshold, allowing the air and oil to be removed from the system. When the pressure drop across the valve becomes too great, it automatically closes to prevent unnecessary oil flow and energy loss.
The air bleed valves are size T-3A and can handle flows ranging from 15 to 200 liters per minute. The valve reopens when the pressure drops below approximately 1.7 bar, allowing it to continuously release air as needed and then close to maintain system efficiency.
