When a central control system is not available, we offer simple and user-friendly controllers for electric valves. These controllers are easy to configure and can be adjusted for parameters such as ramp times, allowing smooth start and stop, dead man’s grip functionality for increased safety, as well as PWM and dither frequencies used for fine-tuning valve movements and minimizing stick-slip effects. We also provide chopper amplifiers that optimize current consumption, soft plug solutions for controlled ramp-up and ramp-down, and fan control units that enable efficient and precise regulation in applications such as cooling or hydraulic systems. These solutions offer a flexible and reliable alternative when a full-scale control system is not available or necessary—without compromising on functionality or performance.

The Sun Hydraulics XMD is a compact and user-friendly I/O controller for hydraulic valves, where parameters such as ramp times, dead man’s grip, PWM, and dither frequencies can be easily adjusted. Configuration is done wirelessly via Bluetooth using a mobile phone or tablet, making setup quick and convenient in the field. For more advanced configuration, the XMD can also be connected to a computer using the free PC software, CANpoint, which provides extended functionality and precise tuning options. No programming knowledge is required – the interface is intuitive and easy to use. The controller supports both open-loop and closed-loop control. XMD is available in versions with one or two input/output channels and always includes a built-in CAN connection. It supports various input signal types, including 0–5 Vdc, 0–10 Vdc, 4–20 mA, pulse (60 Hz – kHz), and resistance (0–10 kΩ). The valve can be controlled, for example, via a steering wheel, joystick, lever, or sensor.
LEPPX is a compact and easy-to-use chopper amplifier for hydraulic valves, designed to regulate the current to a solenoid coil. By precisely controlling the current, the valve’s response and accuracy are improved. Settings are adjusted manually in a straightforward way, for example with a screwdriver, making LEPPX ideal for applications where simplicity and reliability are key. A chopper amplifier works by rapidly switching the current on and off (“chopping”) to control the average current level, which reduces heat generation and increases energy efficiency compared to traditional linear amplifiers.
