Robust motor with long service life. For open and closed circuits. Approved for very high rotational speeds.
Axial piston motors are powerful and compact hydraulic motors that generate torque by being driven by pressurized hydraulic fluid. They are used in applications with high torque demands and where space is limited in relation to performance – such as in mobile hydraulics, industrial machinery, and marine drive systems.

Robust motor with long service life. For open and closed circuits. Approved for very high rotational speeds.
An axial piston motor operates on the same principle as an axial piston pump, but in reverse. It consists of a cylinder block with several pistons arranged axially (parallel to the shaft). When pressurized oil is supplied, the pistons are forced against a swash plate, and their linear movement is converted into rotational motion in the output shaft. This design enables high efficiency, smooth operation, and substantial torque output even at low speeds.
Axial piston motors are available in both fixed and variable displacement versions. A fixed displacement motor delivers constant torque at a given flow rate, making it suitable for applications with consistent power requirements. A variable displacement motor features an adjustable swash plate that allows control over both speed and torque based on system demand – ideal in applications with varying loads or where energy efficiency is important.
Thanks to their precise construction and minimal internal leakage, axial piston motors are highly efficient. They operate quietly and deliver high torque even at low rotational speeds. Their compact design makes them ideal for installations with limited space, while their robust construction ensures long service life and high reliability in demanding environments.
Axial piston motors are frequently used in mobile equipment such as tracked vehicles, winches, rotary tools, and drive systems where high performance and precise control are required. In industrial settings, they are commonly found in presses, machine tools, and conveyors. They are also used in marine systems and renewable energy applications – such as wind turbines – where performance, controllability, and durability are essential.
