Filter elements

Filter elements are the replaceable part of a hydraulic filter that captures and retains contaminants from the hydraulic oil. Regular replacement of the filter element is crucial to maintain optimal system performance and protect sensitive components from wear and damage. Schroeder offers a complete range of high-quality filter elements, including original design elements, BestFit™ replacement filters, Esafe® stand-alone disposable elements, and CoreCentric® coreless repair elements. This broad selection makes it easy to find the right filter for your application.

Service and replacement of hydraulic filters

Filter elements should be replaced at regular service intervals to maintain filtration efficiency and avoid operational disruptions. The service interval varies depending on the filter material used and the application requirements. For example, Excellement® Z has a higher contaminant holding capacity and therefore a longer service life compared to standard media. A filter indicator can be a very useful tool to determine when a filter change is needed, leading to more cost-effective and reliable operation.

Excellement® Z
