Manifolds for 2-pump system

These circuits are used when a high-pressure pump provides low flow at high pressure, and a low-pressure pump provides high flow at low pressure.

Why use a 2-pump hydraulic system

When the system load is low, both pumps are in operation, with the low-pressure pump typically supplying the majority of the flow. As the system load increases, the low-pressure pump is instead unloaded to the tank.

 

2-pump operation with very low recirculation pressure

Our 2-pump manifolds include the necessary components for this function, as well as a pressure relief valve for safety. With SUN Hydraulics specially developed unloading valve, a lower recirculation pressure is achieved for the unloaded low-pressure pump.

 

Material and design of 2-pump manifolds

All manifolds are available in aluminum (3000 psi / 210 bar) or steel (5000 psi / 350 bar) and can be supplied with surface treatment. These are available for pipe mounting in sizes up to SAE 1 ½” flange.
