Load-holding, anti-shock, anti-cavitation for hydraulic motor drive

These manifolds for load holding, so-called cushion lock manifolds, are used to reduce pressure spikes and cavitation in applications with heavy loads and/or high rotational speeds.

It is a complete manifold that combines the functions of load holding, shock valve function, and make-up.

From actuator directly to tank

The special feature of this solution is that the oil flows directly to the tank, and not back through the directional valve from the actuator. The hot and potentially contaminated oil is dumped to the tank for filtration and cooling.

This is particularly important in systems with long lines to the actuator.

Material and design

Ready-made solutions are available for line mounting in sizes up to G 1 1/4” thread.

All manifolds are available in aluminum (3000 psi / 210 bar) or steel (5000 psi / 350 bar) and can be supplied with surface treatment.

Load holding with proportional flow control valve or load-sensing compensator valve

The manifold has two load-holding valves on each side and check valves for make-up. There are also manifolds with integrated proportional flow control valves for controlling the flow to the motor, as well as with a load-sensing compensator valve.

This provides variable speed and smoother starts and stops.
