In certain applications or valve types, it is desirable to adjust pressure or flow easily—without using tools or where access is limited. For this purpose, controls in the form of various adjustment knobs are available. These allow quick and convenient setting changes. The knobs can either be purchased separately for retrofitting or delivered pre-assembled from the factory.
In the event of a power failure, having an emergency operation feature can be critical. With this function, electrically controlled hydraulic valves can be operated manually, ensuring that the system can continue to run or be safely shut down in a controlled manner. Emergency operation devices are available in several versions, such as twist or lock knob types, depending on the application requirements and desired functionality.
To prevent accidental or unauthorized adjustments of critical functions, valves can be sealed after the correct pressure setting has been made. Sealing a valve ensures that the setting remains unchanged, which is particularly important in safety-critical or sensitive applications. Valves can be delivered from the factory with preset and sealed settings according to the customer’s specifications. Alternatively, a sealing cap can be installed afterward, once the valve has been installed and adjusted on-site.
To fully prevent unauthorized adjustment of a valve, a lock kit with key can be mounted directly onto the valve. This kit allows the valve settings to be securely locked, providing effective protection against unwanted or unauthorized changes. Once the locking assembly is removed using the key, the adjustment function is again easily accessible to authorized personnel.
